Either it's a fantastic coincidence, or the good vibes from all the messages about cheap hot sauce have migrated up here to Wisconsin. At the Sentry supermarket near my office, I just picked up Marie Sharp's Fiery Hot Habanero Pepper Sauce for $1.45 (!) a bottle. They also had the Mild and Hot varieties for the same derisory price- even Tabasco is more expensive! General impressions of the sauce: Similar in style to a Melinda's-type sauce, but slightly more liquid. Great hab flavor, with the characteristic fruity taste very much up front. Quite a few seeds in evidence. Ingredients are, in order: "Select red habanero peppers, fresh carrots, onions, key lime juice, vinegar, garlic and salt". Overall, a highly likable sauce, and at a price for which I could forgive a lot- thank goodness I don't have to!
