Byron: Your points are well taken. But how did you end up with so many bugs?? In the nearly 20 years I've been gardening (now, farming), I don't believe I've had 30% of those bugs in all the years combined!! I'm wondering if there's another problem. You mentioned you don't have the space. Does that mean you're planting the same kind of crops in the same space year after year? It sounds like the bug populations are never eradicated. Crop rotation and the addition of organic material to the soil will do more to cure your problem than consistent pesticide applications. I understand you're going with what works there's nothing like experimentation and observation but perhaps you can set aside some of your space and try rotation and the addition of compost, and see what happens. Good luck with all of this! Robert.
