Ed: I agree with you in using "orange" to also describe the color of the Datil pods. The image of the pile of Datil peppers near the bottom of the first page of my website shows the range of color tones including yellows and oranges, some of which are a deep orange. They have vivid colors and I like to use the term "golden yellow" to describe them. There is a myth that Datils can't be grown outside of St. Augustine, Florida. I communicated with list members two years ago who had success stories growing Datils in numerous locations in the U.S and other countries. Where are you located geographically?
