I would like to express my concern about the development of no-heat habs. Look at what has happened to jalapenos. Here in the Roanoke Valley of Virginia, vendors of seedlings don't know what they're selling, and two summers in a row I've ended growing low-heat jals. Bummer! My one refuge for sure-fire peppers has been habs. I'd hate to see the hab seedling market go the way of the jals. A question: Should I be asking the greenhouse I buy from for a particular variety of jalapeno seedling? A comment: From beer to bread and now to peppers, food merchandisers are intent on catering to the bland American palate. Trying to develop a no-heat hab is like trying to figure out how to have sex without pleasure. Frank Munley
