Chiles would do well in big pots. My buddy Dave Anderson & I saw many in Jamaica both out at the research station, and a farm, do very well in large containers. Remember to give the large leafed ones like hab some shade from excessive heat & humidity. That chiles do well when protected by some shade has long been something I've suspected and has been backed up by research at NMSU. Plants set deeper, if protected early, should do better also, IMHO. Make sure your soil can drain well. My father has a 7' hab in a small raised bed in southern FL. -Jim C
