I've grown a number of habs in the NW (Eugene, OR) and our summers are typically cooler than the rest of the country. I've found that my habs typically stay kind-of small and bushy for quite a while (>5 weeks) before deciding to pop up. Even then they never get really tall. I haven't figured out if this growth spurt is due to the onset of the warmer part of the summer or due to the marshalling of the little guys' psychic energy for the big push. Based on the typical length of time that habs are *supposed* to take to fruit, etc., I've always assumed the latter--they're just late bloomers. ed > > Question: This little plant is very bushy, but still only about 3-4 inches > tall.
