What's happening in my pepper garden is strange. Maybe you'll have ideas ? My habs are doing fine. I have a group of ~10 in a small planter, the fruit is regular size and fine. I have one hab in its own planter, ir grew much slower then the other group, but it grew much bigger, large leaves. Its fruit is HUGE. Someone mentioned closed fist size, well a childs closed fist size. So far so good. I've got cherries. Again, a lot in a planter. They are very short, maybe 5cm the tallest. They have lots and lots of flowers, for some 4 weeks noe, but not a single fruit. I've got halapenos. Yes, ~10 in a planter. I started these the latest (6 weeks ago or so). They are very tall (30cm), they suffer a lot from the heat, they wilt around 4pm but recover later. So far no flowers. The 2 Thai not eaten by birds are 10cm tall, so far no flowers. The poblano is very tall (40cm), with just a few leaves at the top. It suffered from the birds but survived. The cayenne, poor cayenne, only 1 step left, no leaves. I hope it will get leaves again. The serranos, and the tabascos won't germinate. Questions: why don't the cherries set fruit ? will I ever see halapeno flowers ? Why won't the serranos & tabascos germinate ? The conditions look good - see the habaneros, so what might be wrong ? BTW, the birds got used to the imitation snake, so they finished the cayenne off. They do seem particularly fond of cayenne & hab leaves and any type of germinating seed. Danny.
