Hmmm.... I think it is time for another couple of recipes I have never tried... but I will (My Easter is next week ;^) Hurley's Magnificent Bedevilled Eggs Recipe mostly stolen from somewhere else Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method -------- ------------ -------------------------------- 12 eggs 1/2 cup mayonnaise 2 Tablespoons onion -- finely chopped 3 Tablespoons Minced Jalepenos 1 teaspoon fresh chives -- snipped or dried 1 teaspoon dry mustard 1 teaspoon Horseradish 1 teaspoon Minced black olives 1/4 teaspoon salt 1/4 teaspoon pepper 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder Slice in half and scrape out yolks into a mixing bowl. Blend remaining ingredients well and fill egg halves. Sprinkle with habanero powder, chill well. -------------------------------------------- Hurley's POP-eyed Greek Deviled Eggs This Recipe is also mostly stolen 8^P Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method -------- ------------ -------------------------------- 12 Hardboiled eggs 1 bottle Ouzo 4 tb Minced Jalapenos 2 tb Chopped parsley 1/2 ts Fresh chopped mint 6 tb Mayonnaisse or Miziethra 12 Black olives chopped Mash egg yolks with two table spoons of ouzo into a smooth paste. Do this while drinking half of the ouzo bottle. Combine parsley, mint, jalapenos and mayo, or Miziethra. If you want to be authentic you should use Miziethra (sp?). It is a bland creamy cheese that is incredible. Of course, if you really want to be authentic you shouldn't make this recipe. Blend both mixtures till smooth. Fill egg whites with mixture and garnish with chopped black olives. The anise flavored liquer make thes eggs fragrant and delicious. Eat eggs, and drink the rest of the ouzo. You know, you don't really need the eggs, when you get right down to it. NOW for the disclaimer.... I have not made this recipe! And, I haven't drunken a full bottle of ouzo in several years. This however will probably not change 8^( I unfortunately am also on the Wagon... part-time 8^> "Dickedy D. I supposed I could make some egg salad (it is National Egg > Salad week, isn't it?). > ________________________________________________________________________ > Get Your Private, Free E-mail from MSN Hotmail at http://www.hotmail.com
