Just got back from a week in Norfolk, VA. Business trip, came up sudden. Myron: I have to agree with the recommendations that Mike and Michelle gave. Also on the cheap and tasty side is Sol Azteca on Southwest Blvd. Right next to the aforementioned Rosedale BBQ. They keep El Yuc green and red at every table, and serve salsa and pico de gallo with the chips. Ditto on letting on when you're gonna be in town. Sorry I missed the Latin Fest (not). Looks like the hailstorm set most of the chiles back about 2 weeks. They have gotten back to where they were before the storm, some have come back even stronger ( KTs, Ajis Amarillo and Colorado). The new growth under natural light looks better than the growth from artificial sources, post-hardening-off. Kind of a blessing in disguise, I guess. I set up a soaker hose for each bed. The smaller one has a 5 gallon bucket for 25 feet of hose, the larger bed has a 10 gal. trash can for 50 feet of hose. Hoses held in place with croquet wickets and coat hanger wire, running on the surface near the stem. Seems to work for now, time will tell when the heat hits. Just trying to avoid the blossom-end rot I had last summer. Remember that on peppers it can hit the sides first. Scott... back home in... KCK
