Hi Dave, Thanks for the report! For the last couple of years, I've gone to the Texas Fiery Foods show on Sunday instead of Saturday and had been disappointed. This year, however, I went on Saturday and was very impressed. I took my 3-year-old daughter and my 8-year-old son. Matthew was doing pretty well until he dipped some Hector's Smokin Habanero sauce while I wasn't looking. Then it was off to the Borden's booth for chocolate milk. Carly wouldn't touch anything except the chips :-) --- David Cook <zeb@austin.rr.com> wrote: > Well, the 4th Annual Texas Fiery Foods Show has come and gone and my > wife > and I survived, so I thought I'd post a report. I missed it this year, my wife and I had just had a baby girl. Anyway, I bought the D'Oni three pack. That was the honey-habanero mustard (wonderful, but not very hot), the habanero sauce (*very* hot, for me anyway), and a marinade/dipping sauce. > Some of our personal favorite moments included: > Feeding people cheesecake: My wife got ambitious and made her > lime-habanero cheesecake which we smuggled in and fed to various > vendors, > chefs, and even the Food Network! Did y'all ever post the recipe? If not, would you? A couple of other things I picked up: A three pack of Los Tios salad dressings (jalapeno ranch, chipotle ranch, and habanero ranch), some peppered dill pickles and jalapeno stuffed olives, and a bottle of Hector's Smokin Jalapeno and Smokin Habanero sauces. > > David Cook > Anyway, the show was great. I'm not sure if it was better this year, or if it's just generally better on Saturday, but I had a much better time than I have the last couple of years. Thanks to everyone who helped make it great! - Bill ===== <>< ><> <>< ><> <>< ><> <>< ><> <>< ><> <>< ><> <>< ><> <>< Bill Woodward (Bill_CCHKK@yahoo.com or wpwood@dazel.com) http://members.xoom.com/Bill_CCHKK __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!?
