My Orange Habanero is really loaded right now, so last night I picked 8 perfect pods and put them through the blender and added them to a cup of mayo. To this I added dry onion flakes and minced parsley. Then I added the new ingredient - Orange Oil. I just used 3 or 4 drops of the orange oil (actually orange flavoring from the grocery store). It is marvelous! It seems to intensify the hab flavor. I'm dipping pretzels in it as we speak. Tom Greetings all from southern Indiana! Just rejoined the list after a brief pause in the action and glad to see it's still alive and well. For Tom: 8 habs in a cup of mayo? You da Man! whew! If that doesn't spice it up try skipping the mayo. (wink) Just ordered my seeds for this year. Habs, jals, serrano, red savina and and one I tried for the first time last year, Hungarian Hot Apple. Not too awfully warm themselves, but they cold pack well with habs as a mixer. Anyone else grow these? Best of luck to all this coming season. Thanks for keeping the list going while i was away.
