Tom, interesting recipe. but, some questions ... what exactly is "cleaned weight" ? are these anchovies simply gutted & heads removed? or do you mean cleaned boneless fillets? i buy salted whole anchovies at "The First Ravioli" deli here in Vancouver. bulk packed in large cans, they still cost ~ $.75 per fish ! 1/2 pound might be an extravagance that would strain my budget so i may try to cut your recipe in half , if you mean fillets ! regards peter g
