Does it matter if the pods from the previous season are left on the plant? I was told that if I leave them on, if will affect the growth of new pods this year. These are wild and other "bird pepper" types where the old pods haven't fallen off as they usually do on species with larger pods. [I know, I know, I should have eaten them, but those little guys are lot of work to harvest for what you get, and I grow them for fun more than anything.] Mike Benson
