Karen's experience has prompted me to send yet another announcement about
the 7th (Almost) Midwest Hotluck. It will be held in Des Moines, Iowa on
Sunday, October 5th. Big Tom Price and his wife, Cindy, will host it at
their home (unless we have hundreds of attendees) and I will co-host by
helping whereever I'm needed. Have you ever wondered who/what the guy who
does the great CH wallet cards and the posters is like....come and see!
Given Karen's lack of participants, we want to know WHO thinks they will be
there...at least at this early date. We will remind you again and again as
the time grows near.
I know Scott and Chery KCK are coming and will have meatballs that I can
tolerate (somehow I think the people who spread Back Draft on The Bread
will be a bit intense when it comes to meatballs!). Hopefully Renee and her
gang will come down from Minneapolis...they are great cooks and great fun!
Gregg and I will be there and I'll have a hab chocolate cake...moist and not
so hot you gasp for breath.
So...Midwesterners of all shapes,sizes, ages...let us know your plans!
Iowa, Illinois, Minnesota, Indiana, Ohio...you know who and where you are.
Step up to the plate...the plate of chiles, of course!
