If you live in the sticks then that crow is fair game but if you live in the town boundry or have close by neighbours always know where the pellet is going to end up. If you think crows are clever and cheeky then you never had to deal with monkeys ;-) First time I fired a couple of blanks in my 357 S&W they high tailed it real fast. To-day one week later I fired off three and they hardly moved. Peppers is about all I can grow. Maybe a pellet gun is not a bad idea but would for monkeys be non-lethal and under powered. .22 would be the answer but the range is to great (+2 miles) and against city laws. Good luck in getting rid of your pest. Try a small piece of some shiny stuff tied so it can't be removed by your pepper plant nabber but flutters in the wind.
