I had big plans for today, but fell short of my expectations, only got about a third of my bulbs planted today. I've bought close to 200 tulips, narc's and lilys to put in and it's taking a lot longer than I expected since I actually have a planting plan. Not just throwing them in willy-nilly, I laid out a grid (used baby powder), and placed them just so. The rain interrupted me, so will have to finish up later, darn I'll have to lay out the grid again. All my Fall perennial plantings have taken hold so I expect them all to survive the winter. I terraced a hillside and put in a bunch of invasive ground covers, It's going to look great next season. The five new grasses survived a hellacious wind storm so should have some nice reeds for weaving next Fall. I've collected tons of seeds and will bundle them up for Christmas gifts this year. All in all, this has been a great garden year and I'm already thinking about those seed catalogs.
