I must say the white buddleia was gorgeous, the panicles as long and thick as a rolling pin. Also got great pleasure, albeit very briefly, from a double purple brugmansia, the seeds for which I got from Duane. I have two seed pods coming along but I did take cuttings before the hard frost, so I'm hoping to overwinter the plant. Its habit is different from that of the yellow one in that the blossoms face upward, the plant itself has very dark green leaves and deep purple stems. Striking. I'm striving for something in bloom from April through October and have added to the autumn color with heleniums, asters, anemones, mums, heliopsis and late daylilies. The flagging pansies picked up nicely to add to the mix. Can't wait until the reblooming irises are mature enough to join in. We have 46. One is in bloom as I write, an unexpected one whose name is a mystery. I love surprises.
