Kay sent me a quick note about Epazote that clears up my own confusion (I have so many recipes that call for epazote I was having trouble believing it was toxic) Kay says the steam distilled oil of epazote *is* toxic. The herb "as is" doesn't contain enough oil to cause any trouble when eaten in any reasonable amount. Catharine
