[gardeners] In the garden

Picked a mess of ripe tomatoes today to go with the cukes. Dry as a bone,
no rain in sight. What rain comes through passes 30 or 40 miles north of
us. Thank goodness for unlimited water usage at a cheap price.

Hosed down the greenhouse this afternoon and then sprayed with a mix of
clorox and water. Will hose down again tomorrow and, hopefully, all the
mildew and algae will wash away. Gonna figure a bill of materials tomorrow
for the repairs, expect it won't run much over 50 bucks, a cheap price for
an 8 X 14 greenhouse with an automatic vent fan.

Getting ready to plant the Heatwave II tomatoes in preparation for the dog
days of July, August, and September. Figure with the greenhouse I should be
able to grow tomatoes, cucumber, and squash all winter, even if I have to
hand pollinate or toss in a bunch of bees.
