Pat: Be aware that I have applied to the Texas A&M Extension Service for an
import permit for the vicious Louisiana squash borer. No squash plant,
including the EC squash could ever stand up to these folks. We suspect they
may be the reason the neighbors oak tree is now hollow.
If the permit comes through I will send the borers overnight delivery by
one of the express companies. Dave should stand by with the shotgun to keep
the borers from escaping into the surrounding community. A head hit will
kill them immediately. A hit anywhere else will only anger them and they
may decide to bore a human.
