Sent them e-mail about it a few weeks ago and they were out. I'll save you some of the okra seeds. They ran out fast and wouldn't let me order more than one packet. > Would you care to share hot weather lettuce recommendations? Did you dig > your shallots yet? Have enough? Best, M. Lawndale The shallots are starting to flop. I figure a couple more weeks and then I dig. No lettuce will grow in Atlanta's miserable heat right now, but in about 4 weeks I'll start some flats of an assortment of red leaf varieties. Sierra really held up in the heat for me last year. Had some real taste, too. Juliet also did really well. And a red oak leaf/deer tongue. I'll check my list from last summer. I was pretty impressed Selma Wisa (swiss variety I got from Nichols, I think) as far as a cold-hard butterhead. It overwintered for me without batting an eyelash and produced lovely heads of very tasty lettuce in April. I will definitely grow it again this fall. Catharine
