Allen, I've never had a bit of luck with peas, either. They are pitiful in
Atlanta whether I try starting them in the late-winter/early-spring or in
late-summer for a fall crop. The Fall one's succumb to powdery mildew; the
Spring crop poops out before I get enough peas to justify the work and
garden space.

Mother's tried growing them in Fredericksburg....no real luck there
either. Some of the snow pea varieties (Mammoth Grey) will evidently do
moderately well in the Hill Country, but the sugar snap-types supposedly
can't adapt.

Hope you guys got some rain last night. Send some up the road to F'burg if
you do!
