For Allen and all to enjoy, the simplest recipe and the nicest
taste change:

	Dilly Beans

For each large, wide-mouthed fruit cocktail glass jar (16 oz?):

 young, tender string beans

1 clove of garlic, chopped
1 tsp caraway seeds
1 large branch of fresh dill, or 1 tsp. dried dill
1/2 tsp. red pepper flakes
1/2 tsp. salt

half water & half plain vinegar to fill

Place garlic, caraway, dill, red pepper flakes and salt in bottom of
jar.

Pick all straight green beans. Wash. Fill jar with all beans standing
upright, packed tight. Pour in vinegar & water mixture to the brim.
Cover opening with a double fold of Saran Wrap or a single layer of
aluminum foil, pressing down lightly around bottle. Then screw on
cap securely. Check for leaking....

Place in the refrigerator. Every morning reverse the bottle (cap down);
every suppertime, do the same (cap upright). In about 4 days, you
can open and taste. The longer you keep them, the hotter they get.
Keep refrigerated.

The 2nd time you fix them, you can add more red pepper flakes. But
first try them done this way......
