Almost every room with painted walls in our house is an off-white...or
close. The exception is our bedroom. Two years ago, I decided to be
daring and so painted this room a dark wine-burgundy. It was a drastic
change and it may take a half-dozen coats of white to cover it one day, but
we like it. With the 35 year old Italian provincial furniture, and pleated
shades on the windows, it has a different look... kind of present day
"renaissance." Add one bright sunflower from the garden as a focal point,
and Martha Stewart, lookout!
