Yes, Allen, also of course, greener. I tried the boiling marinade 
last night, and definitely do not like it. Just remember, these
jars must remain refrigerated. 

The end product should have a very pungent herbal flavor. Add
more spices if it's unimpressive. 

Two weeks ago, when I had finished all the string beans in a jar, 
I sliced a large cucumber which I had salted down for only one hour,
then drained well, into the same marinade, and let it all sit in the 
fridge for a few days. Delicious!
