Byron, thanks for the hydrostatic lead. We'll be calling in
a bunch of people, because we could not possibly put this
house up for sale in this condition. 

What is a swamp buggy...? Seems to me that Georgia has been
having a severe drought this summer -- perhaps there are
swamp buggies going begging . . . . <g>...

The heavy rain is due to return by midnight. We had a one-day break 
today, and it was hard to take.  It got so hot and humid that we were
wearing out kerchiefs!  We're trying to rework the Netafim soaker
lines in a 100 ft run uphill, and convert it into two watering zones
with the aid of line shutoffs. The obvious design still escapes us.
