Ranchmama, you don't get much more sleep than I do~!
Yes, I do remember waiting up for the kids -- by coincidence,
my 43-y-o asked me yesterday if I could remember the occasion
of her first date...? She said I told her we had to set a curfew, and
she wondered why, since she was such a sensible girl. My answer
was 'so that the boy will respect you!' and she accepted that.
Apparently they were all too young to drive, and so the date involved
a whale of a lot of walking, and when she did get home, there was
Mom sound asleep in a living room chair ... she says that she told me
I might just as well go to bed in the future, and get a decent night's
sleep, for she'll be just fine.
Lot of water over the damn since that night.
