A sandwich? I never heard of such a thing. Are they anything like subs
or heroes?
The names given to the same thing throughout the country can be
mystifying at times, especially if one has never lived in the region.
But, the odd thing is, that I lived on Long Island until I was 21 and
never, ever came across a sandwich called a grinder; nor during my 2
years at SUNY Albany did I ever, either. Strange.
