It is Roger Grrounds' new edition of his earlier Ornamental Grasses, published in 1979; his new, expanded, version entitled The Plantfinder's Guide to Ornamental Grasses, Timber Press, 166 pp., $34.95. To quote the reviewer, Bob Hornback, a horticulturalist in Occidental, CA: Wwhat a pleasant discovery it is, then, to see that Roger Grounds has produced The Plantfinder's Guide to Ornamental Grasses, a larger-scaled book with a satisfying abundance of handsome photographs by grounds and eight other photographers. This is not, by the way, simply his Ornamental Grasses with pretty pictures. Rahter, it is more like an extended essay about the beauty, the biology, and the uses of grasses in the garden." I hope this proves useful to you.
