We have some very young lettuce, carrots, somewhat older green beans,
lots of cabbage and broccoli plants, and even a few freshly planted
cukes up. The cukes have small fruit on them now and we're watching them
carefully. the spring tomatoes have set some fruit again and we're
getting a couple of small tomatoes every other day or so. Nothing like
the spring/summer production but still nice and tasty.

Friend called today and wants us to come by and pick up pecans tomorrow.
Think a couple of 5-gallon buckets full should be enough. <VBG>

I spent the day yesterday driving to and from the Houston VA medical
center and seeing the doc at the surgical clinic for about 10 minutes. I
don't have to return for six months and then I go for another carotid
imaging session. Doc seems to think the incision is healing nicely and
I'm only showing a small amount of facial numbness as a side effect.
Seems to think that will go away eventually as it doesn't affect the
operation of eyes, ears, facial muscles, etc. Now if I could just get
rid of this cough from being intubated. Still -

Life is good.
