Sleepy Dawg and I were just out wandering about the property. Had to
come in and take off my flannel shirt as it is currently 75F out there
with a lot of really nice sunshine.

The violets are blooming in the front flower bed along with the last few
paperwhites and a few snowdrops. The sassafras tree is all budded out
and the soon to be cut down mayhaws are abloom. The peach tree is about
ready to break out in blooms and the loquat, for the first time, has
fruit on it. The sweetgums and maples are all budded out with leaves and
the Japanese maple down the street is beautiful with the deep red leaves
unfurling. This doesn't include the dogwood trees in the neighborhood,
some of which are blooming and some, oddly enough, aren't.

Yup, I'm fully prepared to declare: Spring is in the air. Life is good.
