You're right about the Hudson Valley. There are people who claim (and
rightly so, I think) that there's something in the soil in your area that
makes tomatoes taste particularly good. Much like the sulpher in Vidalia,
Georgia being the reason that the Granex-type onion that's grown there is so
much sweeter and better tasting there than anywhere else it is grown.
