Hi Margaret and all,
Funnily enough we try keeping anything that's left at the end of the
year and our best keepers this year were Yellow Brandywines. They aren't
supposed to be keepers and they sure aren't as good as fresh but they are
such meaty tomatoes that they kept nicely! We've also been able to keep some
yellow cherry tomatoes at least until Christmas. Don't know what kind they
are though as they just come up year after year.
I'm with Chuck though, tomatoes aren't really for keeping - just living
up in WI we find the season ends so early we aren't quite ready to give up.
