I checked out Diana's article and really like the idea of being able to specially prepare the soil for specific needs. Of course, one can make raised beds but it really is easier to work at the height of a bathtub, (particularly for wheelchair bound folks) and I thought I might create a desert in pots around it. I'm thinking of trying it out with the cactus I received from Pat Vinson. I have heavy clay, so I thought I might use gravel and sand, etc. for good, quick drainage and create something of a oasis. The idea isn't fully baked yet, but I have the tub and cactus and no bog plants yet, so why not. I really needed another project. :-( Cheryl >Hi: > >Have enjoyed the running joke about bathtubs.
