Gosh, we're enjoying spring weather here in NYC, with the temps
today up to 50* -- Jim and I were doing the last lawn mowing of the
season, followed by the laying down of the winter fertilizer, and we
had to peel down to just a simple thin hunting shirt for each.... It
was glorious! We've built a new compost pile right in the middle of the
veggie garden, out of the sissy plants which couldn't stand the 24*
nights we've had...

HOWEVER, this will be a short-lived paradise, for La Nina promises
to bring back our snow right proper. And Jimmie likes nothing better
than being out there, hand shoveling the l-o-n-g driveway just for
kicks. The snow sparkles on his eye lashes, and his cheeks get
mighty rosy, but his ankles seem to stay warm so he never wants
to quit.

Still pickin' raspberries ........
