If you tie a string to the center point and mark where you want the edge of
the bed on string, you can walk around the edge of the bed using the
string like a giant compass to make the circle round. If you mark the edge of
the bed with a line of flour it will be easy to see where to dig a bit more.
The flour then washes away.
