Yes, Liz -- actually, I'm a retired Chinese cooking teacher. 
And a dedicated liason for Chinese scholars and students
who studied in the NYC area. Why, my hubby and I were known
as "Mrs. & Mr. Penny Stamm" and I shall treasure that 
moniker till I die..! 

Never had monkey brains at a Chinese Consulate banquet, 
but I'll never forget when we were served frog's legs. My
daughter wouldn't touch 'em. "It's delicious!" I coaxed, not
having the faintest idea what I was eating. She pursed her
lips and refused. "Whazzamatter?" I asked. "Try it!" And
thru clenched teeth she muttered, "They're frog's legs, and
they'll never cross my lips!"  So I ate hers.
