A few years ago I had a hanging plant in my dining room. I often found my 2
cats sitting under it and looking up. One day I came home from work and found
the pot on the floor and dirt all around. The plant was not hurt much, just
messy carpeting. I took the plant and pot to the kitchen and started to put
it in and noticed something moving. I dug in the dirt and found a beautiful
yellow-orange tree frog about 1 1/2 inches big. It was January and I didn't
want to put it back iin the pot and it was freezing outside, so I called the
science center. They said they would be glad to have it. They were thrilled
with it and said it was in excellent condition. The plant had hung out under
a tree in my yard all summer. The cats were never found sitting staring at
that pot again.
